Dear partners,

Regarding the conduct of the auctions under the Gas Release Programme (GRP) for 2020, in accordance with the requirements of Art. 176a of the EA, we inform the interested parties that Balkan Gas Hub EAD, as a party under the Agreement for implementation of the Programme and a provider of the software environment for its implementation has started the registration of the potential participants in the GRP. For this purpose, it is necessary to fill in and send by e-mail the Registration form, which you can find here

In order to participate in the auctions, the first of which is planned for December 9, 2019 (subject to the EWRC’s decision on approval of the Agreement for implementation of the Gas Release Programme), please submit a scanned copy of the completed form and its accompanying documents no later than December 4, 2019 to the following e-mail address:

The completed and duly signed registration form and its accompanying documents should be submitted to the Registry office of Balkan Gas Hub EAD in a sealed envelope marked "Registration form for GRP" no later than December 6, 2019 to the following address:

In addition, an explicit notarised Power of Attorney is required if the registration form shall be signed by a person not entered in the Commercial Register as having the right to represent the company and to sign legally binding documents on behalf of the company. The documents accompanying the Registration form shall be submitted in original in the language of their issue and, if necessary, accompanied by a translation in Bulgarian or English. The documents shall be certified by an apostille in accordance with the 1961 Hague Convention and the translation must be notarised (made by a sworn translator).

As a result of successful registration, Balkan Gas Hub EAD will offer to the applicants a Participation agreement.

Further information on the registration of a new participants of the subsequent auctions, as well as the approved by the EWRC Agreement for implementation of the GRP, including the specific conditions for each auction (quantities, types of products, etc.) will be regularly published by Balkan Gas Hub EAD in cooperation with the public provider and EWRC.

The registration for participation of potential buyers of the released gas quantities under the GRP does not oblige them to make binding bids in the auctions, to register in the other segments of the trading platform of Balkan Gas Hub EAD and does not impose other fees, except for the transaction fee of BGN 0,1/MWh announced in the draft Agreement in the event of successfully concluded Supply Contract.
