On February 6, 2025, in Sofia, the First Workshop was held between Balkan Gas Hub EAD, the members of the trading platform, and the Hungarian clearing house KELER CCP. The meeting was attended by representatives of over 100 Bulgarian and international companies that are members of Balkan Gas Hub.

During the discussion, mechanisms to enhance the efficiency of the organized exchange market in Bulgaria were explored, promoting greater liquidity and market stability.

The meeting also provided an opportunity for BGH members to be introduced with the clearing services offered by the Hungarian company.

The development of natural gas exchange trading in Bulgaria adds significant value to the market and to projects aimed at improving regional infrastructure. This undoubtedly  contributes to further enhancing transaction parameters, increasing security, and ensuring greater transparency in the gas market.

The collaboration between Balkan Gas Hub and KELER will lead to further streamlining of post-trade processes, contributing to the overall stability of the regional energy sector. Thе partnership will support the development of the gas market and infrastructure in Southeast Europe.
